February 2025. 200th Anniversary
It was so good to see so many people at our 200th anniversary service in July, which included relatives of those who have memorial stones on the chapel walls, past ministers and villagers.
Thoughts are now turning towards our last event in our anniversary year. On Saturday 23rd November we invite you to join us for a coffee concert between 10-12noon. This informal concert with an Autumnal theme will be performed by myself and local friends and will also include a chance for those present to join a singalong. Why not enjoy a hot drink whilst listening to music in the chapel.
The music will last about an hour, but you can come and go as you wish. Both refreshments and music are free but we welcome donations towards the valuable work that goes on at ‘Growing Hope’, a charity providing therapies for children that operates out of St James’ church in Downley. We look forward to seeing you.
On Saturday 7th December we will be carol singing in the Eden Centre. Join us outside Sketchers/Black Sheep Coffee between 1 and 4 pm and help us to raise money for Action for Children.
